“The Bachelorette” topped the night with a 4.1 rating/7 share in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m., which was 28 percent above competing “American Ninja Warrior” (#2: 3.2/ 6) on NBC. “America Ninja Warrior, however, was the night’s only original program on the Big 4 networks to grow from one week earlier (+3 percent).
At 10 p.m., NBC’s “Dateline” led the hour with a 2.9/ 5, which was 21 percent above competing “Grand Hotel” on ABC (#3: 2.4/ 5). Not so grand, is it?
Elsewhere, CBS burned off another original episode of can canceled drama “The Code” (#3: 3.0/ 5 at 9 p.m.). “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” on The CW (#5: 1.0/ 2 at 8 p.m.) led into an original installment of “Whose Line it is Anyway?” in the 9 p.m. half-hour (#5: 0.7/ 1).
