Monday Overnights: ‘The Bachelorette’ Reunion Special is a Fizzle on ABC

Ratings Breakdown:
In the specials department on ABC was the two-hour “Bachelorette Reunion” at a modest 2.2 rating/4 share in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m. ET. Comparably, that trailed “The Voice” on NBC (#1 for the night: 5.0/ 8) by a significant 56 percent. Look for the season premiere of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” next Monday.

There were two season finales last night: CBS sitcom “Man With a Plan” (#3: 3.5/ 6 at 8:30 p.m.), which aired out of an encore telecast of “The Big Bang Theory” (#3: 3.7/ 6 at 8 p.m.), and Fox medical drama “The Resident” (#2: 4.0/ 7 at 8 p.m.). Once again, Matt LeBlanc’s “Man With a Plan” is on the fence for renewal.

“The Resident” led into “9-1-1,” which rose to a 4.4/ 7 (#2) in the household overnights at 9 p.m.

Tops at 10 p.m. was CBS drama “Bull” at a 4.8/ 8, which bested competing “The Enemy Within” on NBC (#2: 2.8/ 5) and “The Fix” on ABC (#3: 1.7/ 3) by 71 percent and 182 percent, respectively. Comparably, “Bull” increased from recently introduced lead-in “The Code” (#3: 3.1/ 5 at 9 p.m.) by 55 percent. Considering “The Code” is performing below recent time period occupant “Magnum, P.I.,” I don’t think a second season renewal is in the cards.
