MSNBC Among the Last to Officially Call Doug Jones the Winner of Alabama Senate Race

In an historic night of politics, Doug Jones became the first Democrat in over two decades to win the Alabama senate race over the controversial Roy Moore on Dec. 12 to fill the seat vacated by Jeff Sessions who became Attorney General earlier in the year.

The Associated Press first reported Jones’ victory at 10:25 pm ET. Bloomberg News immediately followed on TV.

Fox followed at 10:28 pm ET

CNN projected the winner at 10:29 pm ET

The CW affiliate WPIX from New York at 10:32 pm ET

Finally, MSNBC calls the “apparent winner” at 10:47 pm ET
