NBC Fitness Competition ‘Strong’ to Debut in April

Sylvester Stallone is One of the Executive Producers

NBC fitness competition “Strong,” executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, will launch with a two-episode Wednesday preview on April 13 from 9-11 p.m. ET out of a live edition of “The Voice.” The next night it debuts in its regularly scheduled Thursday 8 p.m. hour (in place of failing dramedy “You, Me and the Apocalypse,” which stepped in for canceled “Heroes Reborn”).

Hosted by professional volleyball play and model Gabrielle Reece, “Strong” will feature 20 contestants – 10 male trainers and 10 female trainees – who will train together and compete in physical challenges. Stallone, Dave Broome (“The Biggest Loser“), Kevin King Templeton (Creed) and Holly Wofford (American Ninja Warrior) are executive producing for Sony Pictures TV.
