NBC Renews ‘American Ninja Warrior’ for Season Eight

NBC has issued an eighth season renewal to summer staple “American Ninja Warrior.” Production will begin in the spring and a premiere date will be announced shortly.

Hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, the obstacle course competition series will shoot in six cities this season (including Los Angeles (Universal Studios backlot), Atlanta (The Home Depot Backyard at Mercedes Stadium), Oklahoma City (State Capitol Building), Baltimore (Rash Field) and Cincinnati (downtown), along with its inaugural trip to the Pacific Northwest and its first time shooting indoors at Washington’s iconic Tacome Dome.

“American Ninja Warrior” features hundreds of competitors attempting to complete a series of obstacle courses of increasing difficulty in various cities across the United States, in hopes of advancing to the national finals on the Las Vegas strip.
