NBC is moving forward on second seasons of Tuesday night comedies “Young Rock” and “Kenan”. “Young Rock”, the semi-biographical tale of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson follows the actor and wrestler’s fictionalized childhood through three increasingly large Rocks (played by Adrian Groulx, Bradley Constant, and Uli Latukefu). “Kenan”, starring “SNL’s” Kenan Thompson, plays the widowed father of two daughters (Dannah and Dani Lane) in Atlanta as he struggles to balance single fatherhood with his job as the host of a morning show. Luckily, he has his brother Gary (Chris Redd) and father-in-law Rick (Don Johnson) to help out.
Both “Young Rock” and “Kenan” debuted on February 16, 2021. The number of new episodes ordered have not been confirmed.
