NBC Renews ‘New Amsterdam’ and Crafts Competition ‘Making It’

Pickup for 'New Amsterdam' is for 3 Seasons

Mirroring “This Is Us” last year, NBC has greenlit sophomore medical drama “New Amsterdam” for three additional seasons. That will take it through the 2022-23 season, which will mark five seasons. The number of episodes per season has not been announced, but the assumption is 22 like the first season.

Additionally, the network will move forward on a third season of crafts competition series “Making It,” hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. And recent non-scripted entry “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” will also be returning.
