NBC Renews ‘New Amsterdam’ Renewed for Full Season

Nine Additional Episodes Ordered

NBC medical drama “New Amsterdam” is the first new network series to receive a full season episode order. The network has extended its first season order by nine episodes, taking it to 22. “New Amsterdam,” which airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. out of “This Is Us,” is inspired by Dr. Eric Manheimer’s memoir, “Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital,” and his 15 years as Medical Director at the hospital. The cast includes Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher and Tyler Labine.

NBC is also expected to give new Monday 10 p.m. ET drama “Manifest” a full season episode order.
