Netflix Acquires Australian Animated Children’s Series ‘Alien TV’

26 Half-Hour Episodes Available for Streaming

Global streamer Netflix has picked up Australian animated children’s series Alien TV from Entertainment One. Coproduced by Canada-based Entertainment One (eOne) and Australia’s Pop Family Entertainment, “Alien TV” combines real-world imagery and CGI animation to follow the slapstick adventures of an extra-terrestrial television news crew as they try to cover life on Earth. The series is aimed at children aged 6 to 11, and there are 26 half-hour episodes available for streaming.

“Our new show, Alien TV, takes recognizable situations and transforms them into side-splittingly hilarious visual gags that have an instant and universal appeal for both kids and parents,” said Olivier Dumont, president of family brands at eOne.

“Alien TV” will begin streaming on Netflix later this month.
