Netflix Cancels ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’

But the Series May Not Necessarily Be Over Based on Statement from the Streamer

Netflix has opted against a third season of action drama “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” with the streaming giant issuing the following statement: “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal ‘Iron Fist’ will live on.”

Debuting on March 17, 2017, the series followed Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, as he returns to New York City to reclaim his family company.When a threat emerges, Rand must choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist.

Speculation already points to another platform potentially picking up the series. Stay tuned.
