Netflix Orders Comedy ‘#Girlboss’

Series is Based on the Best-Selling Book with Sophia Amoruso

Netflix will go straight to series on a comedy based on Sophia Amoruso’s best-selling book “#Girlboss,” The series from Kay Cannon (“Pitch Perfect”) and Charlize Theron’s Denver and Delilah production banner will focus on Sophia’s rise from dumpster-diving and selling vintage clothes on eBay to building a fashion empire and becoming a multi-millionaire all by the age of 27. Cannon, who will serve as showrunner, will executive produce with Theron, Beth Kono, Laverne McKinnon and Amoruso.

Netflix is also in conversations with Cannon and Theron’s production company on a crime drama called “Mind Hunter” with David Fincher.
