Nisha Ganatra Developing Matchmaking Comedy for ABC

Proposed Series Eyed for 2021

Nisha Ganatra (“Late Night,” “The High Note”) will write and executive produce an untitled, single-camera series through her Ladies” Car Productions for ABC, which follows an unlucky-in-love romantic and her no-nonsense mom who butt heads as they run the most successful matchmaking service in the Little India neighborhood in Singapore. ABC Signature, where Ganatra is under an overall deal is part of Disney Television Studios, is the studio for the upcoming comedy.

Ganatra has directed episodes or a number of TV series including “Girls,” “Dear White People,” “Mr. Robot,” “Shameless,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Last Man On Earth” and Fresh off the Boat”
