Paramount Network to Air ‘Wife Swap’ Revival

The Revival for Originally Slated for CMT

The upcoming revival of “Wife Swap,” which originally aired on ABC from 2004 to 2013, will now be featured on Paramount Network beginning on Thursday, April 4. Corporate cousin CMT originally acquired the reality series for a planned February 28 debut. Ten one-hour episodes will be featured.

In “Wife Swap,” two families, usually from different social classes and lifestyles, swap wives/mothers – and sometimes husbands – for two weeks. The new iteration willreflect the current social landscape in the country (including politics, classism, gender and race with the end goal of finding common ground.

“‘Wife Swap’ is an iconic international hit that’s more relevant now than ever,” said Keith Cox, President of Development for Paramount Network, in a statement. “There are plenty of fireworks in each episode that audiences expect, but they’ll also be surprised as they watch these families learn about new lifestyles and choices to find resolution.”
