‘Price Is Right’ Contestants Reach $1.00 an Unprecedented Five Times in a Single Showcase Showdown

The Friday, Sept. 22 episode of CBS game show “The Price Is Right” made history as all three contestants reached $1.00 exactly in each of their turns at the Big Wheel in the Showcase Showdown. Each had initially earned $10,000 in bonus money.

When the contestants had to spin again as a tiebreaker, two of them each landed on the $1.00 space on the wheel and each had won another $25,000.

With a grand total of $80,000, it was the largest amount ever awarded during a single Showcase Showdown.
