MLB’s “2017 World Series” between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Houston Astros again won another evening in dominant fashion for Fox. On Saturday, Game 4 averaged 15.4 million viewers from 8:14-11:27 p.m. ET, down 8 percent from last year’s Indians-Cubs (16.705 million; best mark since 2009) but up 13 percent from Royals-Mets in 2015 (13.587 million) and up 43 percent from Royals-Giants in 2014 (10.742 million). It’s the second best viewer mark for a World Series Game 4 since Yankees-Phillies in 2009 (22.76 million) and the second best viewer mark for a Saturday night World Series telecast since Cardinals-Red Sox Game 1 in 2004 (23.17 million).
At an 8.7 household rating and 17 share, it was the second highest rated Saturday night World Series telecast in eight years, since Yankees-Phillies Game 3 in 2009 (9.1/18). Only Indians-Cubs last year (9.3/18) had rated higher within that span.
