LeBron James’ 56-point performance to power the Los Angeles Lakers to a 124-116 victory over Western Conference-title contender Golden State Warriors helped ABC fo win prime time in demos, including all male demos.
The NBA matchup was not enough for ABC to top CBS in total viewers (as indicated above). The network was led by newsmagazine “48 Hours” (Viewers: #1, 2.98 million; Adults 18-49: #2t, 0.3 rating/3 share).
NBC’s coverage of the 2022 Paralympics from Beijing, China (Viewers: #3, 1.50 million; Adults 18-49: #2, 0.2 rating/2 share) placed runner-up (in 18-49) behind Warriors-Lakers on ABC during the 8-9 p.m. hour. At 9-10 p.m., NBC was tops in total viewers with “Dateline Mystery” (Viewers: #1, 2.39 million; Adults 18-49: #2, 0.3 rating/3 share).
Food competition “Great Chocolate Showdown” (Viewers: #4, 0.52 million; Adults 18-49: #4t, 0.1/1) drew enough for The CW to top Fox in total viewers within the 8-9 p.m. hour. A Major League Soccer match between Charlotte FC and LA Galaxy (Viewers: #1, 0.42 million; Adults 18-49: #4t, 0.1/ 1) aired on Fox.
