  1. FROM NBC

A “NINJA” ENCORE AND TRACK & FIELD “OLYMPIC TRIALS” TIE AS THE #1 SHOW OF THE NIGHT ON THE BIG 4 IN 18-49

NBC RANKS #1 SATURDAY NIGHT AMONG THOSE NETS IN 18-49 AND ALL OTHER KEY DEMOS

    Saturday Primetime Ratings:

NBC wins the night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics (including ties in men 18-34 and women 25-54), as an “American Ninja Warrior” encore and “U.S. Olympic Trials: Track & Field” tie as the #1 show of the night on those nets in adults 18-49.

An encore telecast of “American Ninja Warrior” (0.7/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET):
    · Ties as the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 with NBC’s 8-9 p.m. “U.S. Olympic Trials: Tack & Field.”
    · Wins the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and most other key demos.
    · Grows 0.1 of a point or +17% versus the show’s prior Saturday encore (0.7 vs. 0.6 from 8-10 p.m. on June 11) and +10% in total viewers (2.626 million vs. 2.379 million).

    “U.S. Olympic Trials: Track & Field” (0.7/4 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
    · Ties as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 with NBC’s 9-11 p.m. “American Ninja Warrior” encore.
    · Wins time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, total viewers and every other key ratings category.
    · Grows half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including gains of +14% in adults 18-49 (0.7 to 0.8), +33% in women 18-49 (0.6 to 0.8) and +15% in total viewers (3.1 million to 3.5 million).

In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday Night:

    · The July 9 encore telecast of “Saturday Night Live,” with host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Kanye West, averaged a 2.2 rating, 6 share in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 0.9/5 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

    · “Saturday Night Live” ranks as the #1 telecast of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 in the local people meters, ahead of all primetime programming on those nets.

    · Note that “SNL” adds significant viewership via time-shifting, with originals this past season growing by +49% going from L+SD to L+7 in adults 18-49 (1.83 to 2.72) and +2.090 million persons in total viewers (6.051 million to 8.141 million).

NOTE: All ratings are “live plus same day” from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

  2. Decent ratings for track & field but tonight is all about the final night of Gymnastics Trials, Friday’s action was so good that we’re going to get ourselves a thrilling night of action as the Olympic team is selected. Everybody wants to know if Gabby Douglas who lost her spot on Friday will make the team.

I’m expecting a 2 and over 7 million viewers for the peak half-hour.
