  1. Wow Powerless has gotta go like right now, somebody suggested a SNL Weekend Update show there as a replacement which would be great since they’ve been killing it lately on the weekends. Powerless is really dragging down Chicago Med but CM has been strong enough to somehow get to its regular numbers at 9:30pm so kudos to Med despite the dead lead-in still being the highest rated show in the lineup. Next season obviously Med needs some help around it, I think it will be reunited with Chicago Fire next season but I like the suggestion Garebelman had too last week about SVU going to at 10pm. I don’t know how this Blacklist show is going to perform next week but the original one has died on them like Blindspot.

How the hell can something so low-rated like Superstore get renewed? Out of all of the NBC comedies they’ve had the past 5 years they continue to renew this turkey for 22 episodes. I hope Will & Grace comes in next year and kills it so they build around Will & Grace and gets rid of Superstore in the future.

    • I think NBC will keep SVU around to break records. I think they regret not letting the mothership do it years ago which was strange since it was literally not THAT far way then. I’m still down with my SVU at 10PM on Thursday idea. Chicago Med and SVU would clear things up. A Weekend update at 8PM would probably do good numbers while Trump is in office.

I love the Blacklist but I feel the baby thing might have been milked way too far for many folks tastes. I could read it in the viewers comments week to week. I think it will at least get 5 seasons.

      • That’s my thoughts as well is that NBC will keep SVU around to break records and I do think they regret letting the mothership go. I Greenblatt would’ve kept the old L&O around if he was in charge at the time they let it go. With CBS so weak at 10pm now most of the week I know SVU can dominate that hour and that’ll help Chicago Med with pretuning.

I do think a Weekend Update can help while Trump is in charge they honestly could just go with that and Will & Grace for a half of season and it’s going to improve whatever they’re getting from their low-rated flops Superstore and Good Place. NBC can fix Thursdays pretty quickly if they rid of the comedies and move them to a night where they can be burnt off somewhere.

I agree about The Blacklist it seems like it started to lose steam very early in its run and didn’t last long like the Chicago shows have done. It’s an awesome show but it was probably never meant to be around more than a few seasons. I think NBC can get an extra season out of it and move it to Fridays.

      • NBC’s whole night is a disaster. Picking renewals is like picking the best looking broken bottle after an earthquake at a bottler…

    • Do you have the ratings for SNL? Their re-runs don’t do well on prime time and their viewership is quite exaggerated by the media who act as if it were 1985….

  2. The Great Indoors ratings are weird this year it always seems to do better when BBT is lower or is in repeats but when it’s higher the retention is poorer. CBS has got to see how this show does on its own but for right now CBS has done a great job with the other freshmen comedies this season with Kevin Can Wait, Man with a Plan, and Superior Donuts on Mondays with not BBT to help them out. Mom deserves to go to Monday lineup next year with KCW and MWAP and CBS should cancel Life in Pieces. Training Day is such a dud but I wouldn’t be surprised if Doubt actually does worse than it at some point.

    • Have to disagree with you. CBS may have done a great job programming, but all their new comedies have failed and they are still without anything resembling a hit to replace fading BBT.
