Steve Carell to Star in Netflix Comedy ‘Space Patrol’

Series to Focus on Idea by Donald Trump for a Sixth Branch of the Military

The show will reunite with “The Office” showrunner Greg Daniels for a Donald Trump-inspired comedy called “Space Force, the tale of downtrodden government workers tasked with making a reality out of Trump’s dream of a ‘Space Force’. The scheme was announced last June when Trump revealed the government would be setting up a “sixth branch of the military” in order to prevent China and Russia leading in space exploration.

“Space Patrol” will follow the men and women whose job will be to run the daily operations of the Space Force and figure out what exactly the organization will do. Daniels will executive produce alongside Carell and 3 Arts’ Howard Klein.
