NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” once again finished as primetime’s #1 summer TV show in all key metrics for a fifth consecutive year. It also is summer’s most-watched program for 12 out of the last 13 summers (only CBS’s “Under the Dome” outdrew it in summer 2013).

Of the summer’s top 25 scheduled series among adults 18-49, only one was of a scripted nature — the currently-canceled CBS medical drama “Code Black” (which ranked sixth among total viewers).

Almost all summer fare declined from last year; most by double-digits. The lone notable exception was ABC game show “The $100,000 Pyramid”, with double-digit gains in both viewers and adults 18-49.

What follows are the average Live + Same Day rating results for the broadcast network programs for the 2018 summer television season from Thursday, May 24, 2018 thru Sunday, September 23, 2018 [season ranking in respective data category noted in brackets] (percentage changes from the summer 2017 season in parentheses, where available):
