Sunday Final Nationals: Cubs-Dodgers Sets TBS Record for its Most-Watched LCS Game 2

NBC led Sunday prime time with “Sunday Night Football”. The New York Giants’ upset win over the Denver Broncos (16.16 million viewers) grew 19 percent in total viewers from the year-ago SNF game (13.6 million for Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans from Oct. 16, 2016).

Game Two of the “National League Championship Series” between the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers averaged 6.8 million viewers to become TBS network’s most-watched LCS Game 2 to-date (since TBS began MLB postseason coverage in 2007). The telecast, which peaked with an average of 8.9 million viewers from 10:45-11 p.m. ET, propelled TBS to win the night across all of cable television.

Sunday’s NLCS Game 2 generated a 12.3 average household rating in the Los Angeles market, up 14 percent from a year ago, when the game was televised on FS1. Saturday’s Game 1 was up 29 percent, to 11.0.

In Chicago, Game 2 had a 19.3 rating, a 19 percent decline from last year. The Game 1 rating from Saturday was 18.1, down 14 percent.
