Sunday Final Ratings: Second Most-Watched NBA All-Star Game on Turner Sports in Five Years

The second Sunday of NBC Sports’ primetime coverage of the PyeongChang Olympics delivered a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) average of 18.2 million viewers, according to live plus same day fast national data by Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

Although down 15 percent from the comparable Sunday night of NBC-only coverage of the 2014 Sochi Olympics (21.3 million viewers), the NBC/NBCSN average last night of 18.0 million viewers dominated the TV competition with an advantage of 82 percent over the combined 9.9 million primetime viewers for ABC, CBS and Fox.

NBC Sports Digital delivered an average minute audience of 170,000 for Sunday night’s coverage.

Sunday night’s NBC/NBCSN viewership peaked at 20.7 million viewers from 9-9:15 p.m. ET, highlighted by women’s alpine skiing on NBC and ice dance on NBCSN.

Despite airing opposite the Winter Olympics, the TNT and TBS telecasts of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game combined to draw 7.65 million viewers — although a slight one percent decline from last year’s All-Star Game (7.75 million), it was still the second largest mark since 2013 (8.02 million); third-best since 2011 (9.09 million); and, fourth-best since 2005 (8.08 million).
