SUNDAY, JULY 1, 2018

Household Rating/Share
CBS: 3.3/ 6, ABC and NBC: 2.5/ 5 each, Fox: 0.4/ 2

-Percent Change from the Year-Ago Evening:
NBC: +39, CBS: + 6, ABC: no change, CW: -33

-Ratings Analysis:
An encore telecast of granddaddy “60 Minutes” (5.3 rating/11 share at 7 p.m.) led CBS to household overnight victory on this pre-holiday Sunday. But it is summer mainstay “Big Brother” (#1: 3.2/ 7 from 8-9 p.m.) that will likely lead the network to leadership in adults 18-49 and all the key young adult demo groups. Comparably, “Big Brother” was equal to year-ago overnight levels.

In season-finale news, freshman CBS drama “Instinct” topped the 9 p.m. hour with a 3.2/ 6 in households and will return in 2018-19 in midseason.

Also original last night was NBC’s “Dateline” at a distant second-place 2.4/ 5 in the 7 p.m. hour. And that faced Nat Geo’s “One Strange Rock” on Fox at a modest 0.7/ 2. Soon-to-conclude NBC crime solver “Shades of Blue,” meanwhile, led the 10 p.m. hour with a modest 2.4/ 5.

The remainder of the evening featured encore telecasts.
