Sunday Overnights: Drama ‘Instinct’ Concludes Season One on CBS

Ratings Breakdown:
CBS led the modest Sunday overnight troops thanks to an encore telecast of granddaddy “60 Minutes,” which led the evening with a 5.8 rating/12 share in households in the 7 p.m. ET hour. But ABC, the home of “Celebrity Family Feud” (#1: 4.3/ 8 at 8 p.m.) and “The $100,000 Pyramid” (#1: 3.6/ 7 at 9 p.m.), should have no trouble dominating in adults 18-49 (and all the key young adult demos).

In freshman season finale news was CBS drama “Instinct,” which will return in 2017-18 in midseason, with a 4.1/ 7 in the household overnights in the 8 p.m. hour.

Also original last night was “Dateline” on NBC (#3: 2.5/ 5 at 7 p.m.), another burn-off episode of Fox sitcom “Ghosted” (#4: 0.8/ 2 at 9:30 p.m.), and the third – and final – season of NBC crime solver “Shades of Blue” (#2t: 2.2/ 4 at 10 p.m.), which is wise to be exiting. Comparably, “Shades of Blue” trailed ABC’s competing “To Tell the Truth (#1: 2.9/ 5), hosted by Anthony Anderson, by 24 percent.
