Ratings Breakdown:
It was no contest, once again, with a three-hour edition of ABC’s “American Idol” (4.7 rating/8 share from 8-11 p.m. ET) holding a significant overnight advantage over NBC’s competing “World of Dance” (2.3/ 4 from 8-10 p.m.). While this pales in comparison to the singing competition in its heyday on Fox, it is still an option on ABC and it increased from lead-in “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#2: 3.4/ 6 at 7 p.m.) by 38 percent.

Minus the lead-in support, NBC’s sophomore “Good Girls” finished a distant third in the 10 p.m. hour with a 1.7/ 3 in the overnight households. Chances of a third season are highly unlikely, no doubt.

Fox and The CW, meanwhile, were at typical Sunday overnight levels. And led by a 17-minute primetime overrun for the ongoing NCAA Tournament, CBS was above average with the program breakdown by half-hour as follows.
