What follows are the metered market household results by half-hour for Sunday, November 12, 2017:
Household Rating/Share
NBC: 9.4/15, CBS: 5.7/ 9, Fox: 4.5/ 7, ABC: 2.4/ 4
-Percent Change From the Year-Ago Opening Sunday (9/25/16):
ABC: + 9, NBC: -11, CBS: -30, Fox: -39
Ratings Breakdown:
It was no contest on this second Sunday in November, with the 41-16 victory for The New England Patriots over the Denver Broncos on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” at an estimated 11.5 rating/19 share in the household overnights from 8:30-11:30 p.m. ET. Results for all live sporting events are approximate, of course, and of note was another original telecast of competing “The Walking Dead” on AMC.
Second overall for the night was CBS with its older skewing combination of granddaddy “60 Minutes” (#2: 8.1/14 at 7 p.m.), “Wisdom of the Crowd” (#2: 4.8/ 7 at 8 p.m.), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (#2: 5.3/ 8 at 9 p.m.) and “Madam Secretary” (#2: 4.6/ 8 at 10 p.m.).
Fox got a boost care of a football overrun in the 7 p.m. half-hour at a 12.0/20 in the household overnights into a 6.4/11 for post-game “The OT” at 7:30 p.m. (#2: 6.4/11). And that led into a sliding overnight performance for its combination of sitcoms “The Simpsons” (#3: 3.2/ 5), freshman “Ghosted” (#4: 2.2/ 3), tired “Family Guy” (#4: 2.0/ 3) and “The Last Man on Earth” (#4: 1.5/ 2) from 8-10 p.m.
ABC, meanwhile, seems to be rushing through the current season of relocated “Shark Tank” with two more back-to-back original episodes (9 p.m.: #3: 2.8/ 5; 10 p.m.: #3: 2.5/ 4) barely resonating. That makes 11 episodes of “Shark Tank” already telecast this season. Once “American Idol” debuts on Sunday on ABC in March, chances are “Shark Tank” will return to Friday.
Earlier in the evening on ABC was the pairing of non-scripted entries “The Toy Box” (#4: 1.5/ 2) and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#3: 2.9/ 4) from 7-9 p.m.
