SUNDAY, MARCH 13, 2022
Fast Affiliate Data (time period based)

Total Viewers:
CBS: 5.88 million, ABC: 5.18, NBC: 1.16, Fox: 1.03, CW: 632,000

Adults 18-49:
ABC: 0.7 rating/6 share, CBS: 0.5/ 4, Fox: 0.3/ 2, NBC: 0.2/ 1, CW: 0.1/ 1

Led by granddaddy “60 Minutes” (Viewers: #1 for the night: 7.59 million; A18-49: #1, 0.7 rating/6 share at 7 p.m.), CBS topped this second Sunday in total viewers. And it led into dramas “The Equalizer” (Viewers: #1, 6.69 million; A18-49: #2, 0.6/ 4 at 8 p.m.), “NCIS: Los Angeles” (Viewers: #2, 5.16 million; A18-49: #2, 0.4/ 3 at 9 p.m.) and “S.W.A.T.” (Viewers: #1, 4.98 million; A18-49: #1, 0.5/ 4 at 10 p.m.), which could remain intact next season should the next choose.

Tops for the evening in adults 18-49 was “American Idol” on ABC with a 0.9/ 7 in the demo from 8-10 p.m. (and a respectable 6.39 million viewers). It led out of veteran “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (Viewers: #2, 4.76 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 5 at 7 p.m.), which like competing “60 Minutes” will outlive us all at this point, and into crime drama “The Rookie” (Viewers: #2, 3.19 million; A18-49: #2, 0.4/ 3 at 10 p.m.). Given ABC’s problems elsewhere, I would not be surprised to see “The Rookie” renewed for a firth season.

In season premiere news was NBC game show “The Weakest Link”, which was not the weakest link in what has to be the worst post-Sunday night football schedule in the history of the network. Take a look (and note that an encore telecast of “America’s Got Talent: Extreme”) opened the evening.

NBC/Sunday
8:00 p.m. “The Courtship”
Viewers: 587,000 (#4); A18-49: 0.1/ 1 (#4)

9:00 p.m. “The Weakest Link” (season premiere)
Viewers: 1.45 million (#3); A18-49: 0.2/ 2 (#4)

10:00 p.m. “The Transplant”
Viewers: 1.11 million (#3); A18-49: 0.1/ 1 (#3)

In the specials department was “The 27th Annual Critics Choice Awards” on The CW, which gave the network a minor spike. See network averages above. And airing out of “The Simpsons” and “Call me Kat” on the Sunday 7 p.m. ET hour on Fox was the network’s diluted two-hour animation block as follows:

NBC/Sunday
8:00 p.m. “The Simpsons”
Viewers: 1.07 million (#3); A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)

8:30 p.m. “The Great North”
Viewers: 730,000 (#3); A18-49: 0.2/ 2 (#3)

9:00 p.m. “Bob’s Burgers”
Viewers: 935,000 (#4); A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)

9:30 p.m. “Family Guy”
Viewers: 1.00 million (#4); A18-49: 0.3/ 3 (#3)
