The conclusion to “Survivor: Winners at War“, an instant classic season of the long-running competition series, airs this Wednesday, May 13. Reality TV podcaster Bobby Goodsby becomes “Survivor” oddsmaker for this article and lays out the chances for each of the remaining castaways heading in to the finale.

Denise Stapley

Odds to win $2,000,000: 25:1

With Tony, Ben and the potential incoming Edge of Extension member each possessing hidden Idols, this does not bode well for the remaining three players: Denise, Michele and Sarah. I predict Denise will be the one to first go out and place 6th.

Michele Fitzgerald

Odds to win $2,000,000: 25:1

Michele may likely be the beneficiary of a potential act of deviousness by Ben Who might target Sarah in order to split up the Tony-Sarah duo. Michele gets her redemption arc for making it to the Final 3 but that’s as far as she will go.

Edge of Extinction Returnee

Odds to win $2,000,000: 20:1

Based on what we’ve seen in the season’s penultimate episode, Natalie or Tyson are most likely to win the battle back. Leaning towards Tyson ultimately getting back because we have already seen him return once before from Extinction. In addition, why would they care to show us why Natalie gave him an idol? Possibly to let us know where he got an idol when he returns? Either way, it’s definitely one of those two coming back.

The backlash from the last time “Survivor” used the Edge of Extinction twist shines through to the jury who feel they probably shouldn’t reward the person who did not play most of the game until the end especially if it’s Natalie, the season’s first ousted castaway.

Ben Driebergen

Odds to win $2,000,000: 10:1

Ben might be the recipient of good fortune and maneuvering. I believe he blindsides Sarah at Final 5. Like the first time he had won “Survivor”, Ben gets sent to the Final 4 make-fire challenge again and wins it again, satisfying the repeated mentions this season of his excellent fire-making capabilities. It’s there he gets to oust Tony. Once Ben reaches the Final 3, he’ll be up against Michele and whoever returned from Extinction. The jury will look to reward Ben for taking out Tony, the best player in the game.

Despite Ben being my winner pick, 10-1 odds are exactly he should receive based on the edit the show has given him. His lackluster handling of former allies Jeremy and Tyson socially as well as his non-existent individual challenge prowess have dropped him a few notches.

Sarah Lacina

Odds to win $2,000,000: 8:1

Sarah and Tony have been linked for the entire game and despite both not winning immunity the past two cycles, they each were not even targeted. That’s a credit to both their strong games.

We do not know for a fact if the jury really knows Sarah’s game. She could be looked at as someone who rode Tony’s coattails. Sarah can only lose to Tony, however, the jury might not see it that way; they might view it vice versa.

Tony Vlachos

Odds to win $2,000,000: 3:1

Tony has played a game for the ages, supremely worthy to win it all. The episode where he was extorted for six fire tokens — three of which were lent by Ben, Nick and Jeremy — to be able to play in the immunity he wound up winning and topping it all off, set up a last-minute voting block to oust (unbeknownst to him) another hidden idol holder (Sophie) was a master class in maneuverability. He should pull this game out. I’m dying for him to win. Perhaps, though, the remaining castaways will also come to this realization about his game (finally believing Kim’s repeated assertions about Tony) and clip him prior to the Final 3. The existence of Edge of Extinction really screws him as the extra round of play could factor in his demise. Thus, let’s all prepare for Tony being our robbed Survivor god.
