Television Series Arriving on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime in November 2017

New original and off-network series titles for the month of November will appear on the streaming video services Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Netflix will premiere its third Marvel series this year with “The Punisher” (Nov. 17) with Jon Bernthal as vigilante antihero Frank Castle. The character was earlier introduced in the second season of Netflix’s “Daredevil.” There will be thirteen episodes for its inaugural season.

Spike Lee revisits his 1986 movie “She’s Gotta Have It” (Nov. 23) as an eight-episode Netflix series that stars DeWanda Wise as polyamorous artist extraordinaire Nola Darling.

Hulu enters the Marvel fray with the 10-episode first season of “Marvel’s Runaways” (Nov. 21) about six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents, who are members of a secret society of supervillains known as the Pride. From Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (“The O.C.”, “Gossip Girl”).

On Amazon Prime, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” (Nov. 29) stars Rachel Brosnahan as a 50’s era New York housewife whose life takes a surprise turn and decides to want to become stand-up comic. The series is written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino (“Gilmore Girls”). It also stars Michael Zegen, Alex Borstein (“Family Guy”), Tony Shalhoub (“Monk”) and Kevin Pollak.

  1. Interesting how Netflix includes foreign acquisitions as “originals”. Just another way they continually stretch the truth… They fit right in in Hollywood… 🙁

    What about that photo from Runaways? It broadcasts “our actors can’t act”. Is there really nobody that vets those things any longer?!
