The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards: And the Winners Were…

'Shogun' and 'Hacks' Named Outstanding Drama and Comedy Series

Predictable, no doubt, was the password at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards until “Hacks” was named Outstanding Comedy in the final award of the evening. “Shogun” was the big winner, with four additional Emmys, including Outstanding Drama, in addition to the 14 it already won at the Creative Arts Emmy Award ceremony. That brings it total to 18. “The Bear,” meanwhile, was no slouch with repeat wins for Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Bachrach-Moss for Outstanding Lead and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively, and Liza Colon-Zayas for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy. That brings the total to 11 Emmys for “The Bear” this time around.

Four awards in the limited series or TV movie category were awarded to “Baby Reindeer.” Jon Stewart took home an award for best talk series after returning to “The Daily Show.” And newbie “The Traitors” broke the winning streak for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in the Reality Competition Program category.
