The CW and HBO Max Acquire Supernatural Comedy ‘Wellington Paranormal’

Episodes Will Be Available to Stream on HBO Max After Airing on The CW

The CW and streamer HBO Max have announced the acquisition of supernatural “Wellington Paranormal”, which is  spinoff of the vampire mockumentary series “What We Do In The Shadows” from Jemaine Clement (“Flight of the Conchords”) and Taika Waititi (“Jojo Rabbit”). “Wellington Paranormal” follows the adventures of Officers O’Leary (Karen O’Leary, “What We Do In The Shadows”) and Minogue (Mike Minogue, “What We Do In The Shadows”), hard-working members of the Wellington constabulary’s paranormal unit who, under the supervision of Sergeant Maaka (Maaka Pohatu, “Savage”), investigate supernatural occurrences that arise in the capital of New Zealand on a surprisingly regular basis.

The New Zealand based “Wellington Paranormal”  will make its U.S. broadcast debut on The CW this summer (with the dates and times to be announced at a later time). Every episode of the supernatural comedy series will first air on The CW and will be available to stream on the network’s free, ad-supported digital platforms (The CW app and CWTV.com) and WarnerMedia’s subscription-based platform, HBO Max, the day following its broadcast, throughout the season.
