The CW Moves ‘The Originals’ to Wednesday; Downgrades ‘Life Sentence’ to Friday

Midseason Changes Impact Wednesday and Friday

The final season “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off “The Originals” will now make its debut on a new night, Wednesday, April 18, at 9 p.m. ET (out of the “Carrie The Musical” episode of “Riverdale”). Current time period occupant “Life Sentence,” which has barely resonated, will be downgraded to the Friday 9 p.m. ET hour effective on April 27. 

The CW’s “Jane the Virgin” will now conclude for the season on Friday, April 20 at 9 p.m. ET, while the reboot of “Dynasty” finishes its freshman season on Friday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
