The Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) announced the 23rd Hola Awards Gala Benefit to New York City. The ceremony will take place Monday, September 30th at HK Hall in Manhattan and honors top Latino and Hispanic talents who have shown excellence in film, television, and theater.
At the star-studded ceremony, HOLA will present special awards to the following luminaries:
Carlos Arana (The HOLA Excellence in Theater Award). This accolade honors individuals, companies, or institutions that have significantly contributed to theater, whether through exceptional performances, innovative productions, or impactful storytelling, and celebrates their dedication to advancing Latin/Hispanic theatrical excellence.
Liza Colón-Zayas (The HOLA José Ferrer Tespis Award) Named in honor of the legendary José Ferrer, this accolade acknowledges performers who possess a rare and exceptional ability to transport audiences into the heart of stories, characters, and emotions.
Eden Espinosa (The Raúl Juliá HOLA Founders Award). This award serves as a poignant tribute to the legacy of Raúl Juliá, and pays homage to exceptional writers, directors, or actors who have carved a significant path in the entertainment world.
Goya (The HOLA Award for Distinction in Arts Philanthropy) This award honors individuals or organizations whose generous support has significantly advanced the arts, particularly within the Hispanic and Latin communities. It recognizes their commitment to fostering artistic growth and ensuring sustainability through philanthropy, advocacy, and contributions that enrich cultural diversity in the arts.
Television star, author and dog behaviorist Cesar Millan (The HOLA Chita Rivera Lifetime Achievement Award), in recognition of his 20 consecutive years on television.
Named in honor of the iconic Chita Rivera, this award acknowledges a lifetime of artistic contributions and accomplishments. It recognizes the dedication, innovation, and lasting impact that the recipient has had on the entertainment industry.
Javier Molina (The HOLA Elizabeth Peña Breakthrough Artist Award), named after the late Elizabeth Peña, this award recognizes individuals who have surmounted challenges, taken bold artistic risks, and have elevated their fields through significant breakthroughs, inspiring fellow artists along the way.
Antonio Najarro (The HOLA Graciela Danielle Excellence in Choreography Award). The honor named after the legendary Graciela Daniele, recognizes choreographers who have redefined the art of movement, infusing their choreography with innovation, emotion, and a profound understanding of storytelling.
