‘The Middle’ Spin-Off Gets a Title and a Co-Star

Eden Sher, aka Sue Heck on “The Middle,” will have a returning co-star, Brock Ciarlelii, as her best friend Brad Bottig in the now titled spin-off “Sue Sue in the City.” The proposed series went into development shortly after “The Middle” ended its nine-season run in May and has a pilot order form ABC.

“Sue Sue in the City” from Warner Bros. TV  will focus on Sue as she leaves college and her hometown of Orson, Indiana, for the ups and downs of a career and young adulthood in Chicago. “The Middle” creators DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler are writing and executive producing the pilot through their studio-based Blackie and Blondie Productions. There is no word which, if any, of the original cast members from “The Middle” will guest star in “Sue Sue in the City.”
