Ratings Breakdown:
The results were mixed for the four new series that launched last night. Competition themed “Holy Moly” on ABC topped the quartet, with a respectable 3.4 rating/7 share in the household overnights from 8-9 p.m. Comparably, that tied an encore telecast of “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS as the highest rated show of the evening. But the debut of food competition series lead-out “Family Food Fight” sunk to a modest 2.2/ 4 (#3) in households at 9 p.m., which trailed the launch of game show “Spin the Wheel” on Fox (#2: 2.7/ 5 at 9 p.m.) by 19 percent.

At 10 p.m., ABC crime drama “Reef Break,” starring Poppy Montgomery, opened with an also modest 2.2/ 4 at 10 p.m., which finished second in the time period behind veteran “Elementary” on CBS (#1: 2.6/ 5).

Elsewhere, “Masterchef” on Fox finished third at 8 p.m. with a 2.4/ 4. CBS featured two episodes of canceled “Life in Pieces” (see below). And The CW aired dramas “iZombie” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and “In the Dark” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 9 p.m.). And the remainder of the evening was repeats.
