Household Rating/Share
CBS: 5.6/10, ABC: 3.8/ 7, NBC: 2.5/ 4, Fox: 2.0/ 3, CW: 0.5/ 1
Note: Comparisons to the year-ago evening are excluded because NBC aired the Winter Olympics.
Ratings Breakdown:
Soon-to-conclude “The Big Bang Theory” led CBS to an easy Thursday overnight victory, with a 9.0 rating/16 share in households in the 8 p.m. half-hour. That, of course, was beneficial to lead-out “Young Sheldon,” which dominated at a 7.5/13 at 8:30 p.m. Stay tuned for potential news of a new spin-off series from “The Big Bang Theory.”
Next on the Eye next was “Mom” (#1: 5.6/ 9 at 9 p.m.), which was recently renewed for two more seasons, followed by newbie “Fam” at a second-place 3.7/ 6 at 9:30 p.m. Comparably, “Fam’ slipped by 34 percent out of “Mom” and it led into a first-place 3.9/ 7 for sophomore “S.W.A.T.” at 10 p.m. Comparably, “S.W.A.T.” bested competing “Law & Order: SVU” on NBC (#2: 2.9/ 6) and “How To Get Away With Murder” on ABC (#3: 2.0/ 4) by 34 percent and 95 percent, respectively.
Earlier in the evening on ABC was veteran “Grey’s Anatomy” at a consistent 5.4/ 9 in households at 8 p.m. into a respectable 4.1/ 7 for recent relocated (and already renewed) “A Million Little Things” at 9 p.m.
As expected, sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” is generating minimal interest on NBC at a mere 1.6/ 3 in the 9 p.m. half-hour. Comparably, that decreased by 41 percent out of “The Titan Games” (#3: 2.7/ 5 at 8 p.m.) at it led into a 2.0/ 3 for “Will & Grace” at 9:30 p.m.
Fox was at typical Thursday overnight levels with the final season of “Gotham” (#4: 1.8/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and sophomore “The Orville” (#3: 2.3/ 4 at 9 p.m.). And The CW featured an encore telecast of “Charmed” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 8 p.m.) into a 0.6/ 1 for “Legacies” at 9 p.m. (#5: 0.6/ 1). Both dramas have already been renewed for next season.
