Thursday 4/15/21 Preliminary Primetime Ratings
Total Viewers:
ABC: 4.41 million, CBS: 4.19, NBC: 4.00, Fox: 2.24, CW: 843,000
Adults 18-49:
ABC: 0.7 rating/5 share, NBC: 0.6/ 4, Fox: 0.5/ 4, CBS: 0.5/ 3, CW: 0.2/ 1
NBC remains the most improved network on Thursday thanks to the pairing of veteran “Law & Order: SVU” (Viewers: #3, 4.52 million; A18-49: #2, 0.8 rating/5 share) and the latest in the franchise, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” (Viewers: #1, 4.25 million; A18-49: #1, 0.6/ 5) from 9-11 p.m. ET. Earlier in the evening on the Peacock net was drama “Manifest” (Viewers: #3, 3.21 million; A18-49: #4, 0.5/ 3 at 8 p.m.), which is a slight improvement over recent sitcoms airing in the hour.
On CBS’ two-hour Chuck Lorre sitcom block, recent entry “The United States of Al” (Viewers: #1, 5.29 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.5/ 4 at 8:30 p.m.) is a respectable fit out of “Young Sheldon” (Viewers: #1 for the night: 7.13 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.7/ 5 at 8 p.m.). As expected, moving “B Positive” to Thursday at 9:30 p.m. (Viewers: #3, 3.98 million; A18-49: #3, 0.5/ 3) has cost the series some viewers, but the fit out soon-to-conclude “Mom” (Viewers: #1, 5.25 million; A18-49: #3, 0.6/ 4 at 9 p.m.) is adequate.
“Clarice” at 10 p.m. on CBS, which is unlikely to return next season, was a repeat.
In week two news, ABC drama “Rebel” at 10 p.m., starring Katey Sagal, dipped by a hefty 44 percent in adults 18-49 out of “Grey’s Anatomy” (0.9/ 6 to 0.5/ 3) and 1.28 million viewers (4.84 to 3.52 million). The prognosis: A large disappointment given the promotional hype.
Earlier in the evening on ABC was drama “Station 19” (Viewers: #2, 4.88 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.7/ 5), which tied “Hell’s Kitchen” on Fox in the demo. Notably weak on Fox was sophomore comedy “The Moodys” at a mere 1.16 million viewers (#4) and a 0.3/ 2 in the demo (#4) at 9:30 p.m. Chances of a third season of “The Moddys” is nil.
Recent entry “Walker” on The CW, meanwhile, was on the fast affiliate map with 1.15 million viewers (#5) and a 0.2/ 1 in adults 18-49 (#5) at 8 p.m. That led into just 538,000 viewers (#5) and a 0.1/ 1 in adults 18-49 (#5) for “Legacies” at 9 p.m.
