Thursday, March 4, 2021 – Preliminary Ratings

Total Viewers:
CBS: 4.71 million, ABC: 4.35, Fox: 2.32, NBC: 2.14, CW: 563,000

Adults 18-49:
ABC, CBS and Fox: 0.6 rating/4 share each, NBC: 0.3/ 2, CW: 0.1/ 0

In season finale news were ABC game shows “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” (Viewers: #2, 5.68; A18-49: #2, 0.7/ 5 at 8 p.m. ET) and two episodes of “The Chase” (Viewers: #2, 3.74 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.5/ 3 from 9-11 p.m.). My prediction: This is not the last you have seen of the two.

Tops for the night was CBS sitcom “Young Sheldon”, with 7.49 million viewers and a 0.9/ 4 in the demo in the 8 p.m. half-hour. But lead-out “B Positive” (Viewers: #2, 4.99 million; A18-49: #3, 0.6/ 4 at 8:30 p.m.) is not worthy of a renewal (particularly given the limited concept). Nor are the Eye net’s sophomore “The Unicorn” (Viewers: #2, 3.74 million; A18-49: #2, 0.5/ 4 at 9:30 p.m.), and recent drama entry “Clarice” (Viewers: #1, 3.46 million; A18-49: #1t, 0.4/ 3 at 10 p.m.).

Elsewhere, Fox freshman comedy “Call Me Kat” (Viewers: #4, 1.93 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.5/ 3 at 9 p.m.) lost noticeable steam out of veteran “Hell’s Kitchen” (Viewers: #3, 2.46 million; A18-49: #2t, 0.7/ 5 from 8-9 p.m.). NBC granddaddy “Law & Order: SVU” and The CW’s “Walker” and “Legacies” were in repeats. And, based on last night, concluding “Superstore” on NBC (Viewers: #4, 2.22 million; A18-49: #4, 0.4/ 3) should drop the plans for the proposed spinoff.
