TNT has greenlit new seasons of scripted dramas “Animal Kingdom” and “Claws.”
“Animal Kingdom,” which heads into season four, follows a teenage boy (Finn Cole), who, after the death of his mother, moves in with the Codys, a criminal family clan governed by Ellen Barkin as matriarch Smurf. And “Claws,” which returned for season two on June 10 and was originally planned as a half-hour single-camera comedy for HBO, follows five manicurists at the Nail Artisan salon of Manatee County, Florida who begin laundering money from a neigboring pain clinic. It stars Niecy Nash, Carrie Preston, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran and Jenn Lyon.
