Television and Radio
“The Dukes of Hazzard” spinoff “Enos” starring Sonny Shroyer premiered on CBS in 1980. Shroyer’s Deputy Enos Strate character moved from Hazzard to Los Angeles to join the LAPD. The comedy lasted just one season and Shroyer returned to “The Dukes of Hazzard” in the fall of 1982…Jesse (John Stamos) and Rebecca (Lori Loughlin) became the parents of twins Nicky and Alex on ABC sitcom “Full House” in 1991. Needless to say, Lori Loughlin wishes real life at present would be as simple as it was on “Full House”…TV legends Carol Burnett and Carroll O’Connor first guest starred on NBC sitcom “Mad About You” in 1996 as the parents of Jamie Buchman (Helen Hunt). They did four episodes together (with Carol in 11 episodes in total as Theresa Stemple).

Movies:
In 1955 at 10:04 p.m., lightning struck the Hill Valley clock tower, sending Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) back to Oct. 21, 1985 in “Back to the Future“.
 
Music:
Paul McCartney released single “We All Stand Together” in 1984…Two legendary albums were released: the second studio album by Madonna “Like A Virgin” in 1984, and the debut studio album by 2Pac “2Pacalypse Now” in 1991…”All Night Long (All Night)” by Lionel Richie hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1983.

Former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama published her memoir “Becoming” in 2018.

Sports:
Joe Sakic, Mats London, Pavel Bure and Adam Oates were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012…Pitcher Mike Fiers revealed to Ken Rosenthal at The Athletic in 2019 that his former Houston Astros team had stolen signs from Astros’ opponents from 2015-17, including the entire 2017 postseason. Evidence included communications (e.g. staff members pounding trash cans) to Astros’ batters of what pitches to expect at Houston’s Minute Maid Park. The findings resulted in the firings of general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager AJ Hinch. Hinch and former Astros bench coach/Red Sox manager Alex Cora were suspended for one year by Major League Baseball; former Astros player in 2017, Carlos Beltran, had been hired as manager of the New York Mets in the 2019 offseason but, weeks later, fired by the Mets due to the scandal.
