“The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, originally a summer series, concluded in 1974 after the couple divorced. Following short-lived variety hours hosted by Sonny Bono on ABC in the fall of 1974 and Cher on CBS from 1975 to 1976, the now divorced couple reunited for “The Sonny and Cher Show” in February 1976. But the magic was gone and it only lasted for two seasons.

“Lost” on ABC concluded season four in 2008 with Michael (Harold Perrineau, in his final appearance) trying to neutralize the explosives on the boat as the “Oceanic Six” moved closer to rescue.

ABC canceled the one season reboot of “Roseanne, then the No. 1 series in primetime, after Roseanne Barr posted a controversial tweet. The series returned with Roseanne as “The Conners” and will be concluding after seven seasons in 2024-25.

“A Raisin in the Sun, the film adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry’s stage play, starring Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, John Fiedler and Ivan Dixon, opened in theaters in 1961.

Two Jackson sisters — Rebbie (74) and LaToya (68) share a birthday; “The Facts of Life” star Lisa Whelchel is 61; actress Laverne Cox (“Orange is the New Black”) is 52; singer and former “America’s Got Talent” judge Mel B is 49.
