Tuesday Final Nationals: Astros-Dodgers on Fox Second Most-Watched World Series Game Six in Eight Years

Fox dominated this Halloween Tuesday night with Game 6 of the “2017 World Series” between the Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Game 6 telecast averaged 22.29 million viewers from 8:16-11:43 p.m. ET, only 5 percent below last year’s Cubs-Indians (23.396 million; best Game 6 mark since 1997) but up 67 percent from Giants-Royals in 2014 (13.372 million) and up 16 percent from Cardinals-Red Sox in 2013 (19.178 million). It’s the second best viewer mark for a World Series Game 6 since Phillies-Yankees in 2009 (22.339 million).

At an 12.6 household rating and 23 share, it was the third highest rated World Series Game Six telecast in eight years, since the aforementioned Phillies-Yankees in 2009 (13.4/22). Only Cubs-Indians last year (13.3/22) and Rangers-Cardinals in 2011 (12.7/21) had rated higher within that span.
