Tuesday Overnights: 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game Leads Fox to Victory

Ratings Breakdown:
The sixth consecutive victory by the American League in the 2018 Baseball World Series led Fox to Tuesday overnight victory with an estimated 6.6 rating/12 share in households. Keep in mind this is based on 8-10 p.m. ET only (full game results were not available at press time), and it is only approximate. Last year’s World Series match-up scored a similar 6.2/11 in the household overnights on July 11, 2017.

Despite the increased competition, NBC remained on the overnight map with its pairing of “America’s Got Talent” (#1 for the night: 7.2/13 from 8-10 p.m.) and “World of Dance” (#1: 3.8/ 7 at 10 p.m.).

Also original was The CW’s combination of scripted dramas “The 100” (#5: 0.8/ 1 at 8 p.m.), which returns in 2018-19 in midseason, and recent entry “The Outpost” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 9 p.m.). And ABC featured freshman drama “The Last Defense,” which dipped to a series low 1.3/ 2 at 10 p.m.
