'Love Island' Remains Out of the Competitive Loop on CBS

Ratings Breakdown:
Led by perennial summer sensation “America’s Got Talent,” NBC beat the four competing networks combined in the overnight households. The competition averaged a healthy 6.9 rating/13 share from 8-10 p.m., which was 130 percent above the second highest rated show of the evening, lead-out “Bring the Funny” (#1: 3.0/ 6) at 10 p.m. “Bring the Funny,” which owes any audience it has to “AGT,” bested competing (and already renewed) “Blood & Treasure” on CBS (#2: 2.1/ 4) by 43 percent.

In the specials department was “USA Champions: The Story of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup” on Fox at a 0.9/ 2 in the overnight households at 9 p.m., which finished a distant fourth in the hour.

Elsewhere, “Love Island” on CBS continues to crawl along at a 1.7/ 3 (#3) in the 8 p.m. hour. Week two of CW sci-fi drama “Pandora” slipped to a 0.6/ 1 at 8 p.m. (#4), which was one-tenth of a rating point below its 0.7/ 1 one week earlier. It led into a 0.5/ 1 (#5) for “The 100” at 9 p.m. And the remainder of this fourth Tuesday in July was repeats as follows:

    NBC overpowered the Big 4 competition last night (1.4 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) in every key demo.

    Both in 18-49 and total viewers, NBC was better than the other Big 4 networks combined in those categories.

    “America’s Got Talent” (1.6 in 18-49, 10.0 million viewers) and “Bring the Funny,” (0.9 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers), the #1 new alternative series this summer, were #1 and #2 in 18-49 and total viewers for the night.

    The 1.6 in 18-49 and 10.0 million viewers for “America’s Got Talent” are the highest in each category since June 25.

    “Bring the Funny” was even in 18-49 from the previous week.

    The July 9 premiere of “Bring the Funny” is now up to 2.4 in 18-49 and 10.4 million viewers when including live and delayed viewing, encores and digital.
    SOCIAL VIEWS

    With the addition of another week of viewing, Kodi Lee’s inspirational Golden Buzzer performance remains “AGT’s” most viewed video clip this season, having surpassed more than 419 million combined total views across Facebook, Twitter & YouTube on YouTube since May 28.

    The video clip of 11-year-old violinist and cancer survivor Tyler Butler-Figueroa’s Golden Buzzer performance ranks as “AGT’s” second most-viewed video clip this season, surpassing a combined total of 126 million views across Facebook, Twitter & YouTube since June 11.

    “AGT” is the #1 most-social broadcast series in this summer having amassed 18 million total interactions to-date in 24/7 metrics.
