Tuesday Overnights: Another Clean Sweep for NBC

Ratings Breakdown:
It was another clean household overnight sweep for NBC care of “America’s Got Talent” (7.4/13 from 8-10 p.m.) and sophomore “World of Dance” (4.1/ 8 at 10 p.m.). Both competition series were on par with the year-ago overnight levels. And “World of Dance” bested competing “48 Hours: NCIS” on CBS (2.9/ 5) and recent ABC drama entry “The Last Defense” (1.6/ 3) by 41 percent and 156 percent, respectively.

The likelihood of additional scripted dramas in subsequent summers is diminishing based on the lackluster results in this early summer.

Elsewhere, Fox’s non-scripted sophomore combination of “Beat Shazam!” (#4: 1.7/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and “Love Connection” (#4: 1.4/ 2 at 9 p.m.) continue to under-perform. And the only other original network option last night was “The 100” at a modest 0.5/ 1 at 9 p.m.
