The program standout last night, as always, was “America’s Got Talent” on NBC, which scored a hefty 6.9 rating/12 share in households from 8-10 p.m. But the return of CBS summer mainstay “Big Brother” was no slouch at a 3.3/ 6 from 8-9 p.m. Comparably, this was the second highest rated show of the evening (which was still 51 percent below the first hour of competing “AGT”), and it was just six percent below the 3.5/ 6 for the year-ago season opener (3.5/ 6 on Wednesday 6/27/18). At 10 p.m., NBC’s “Songland” continues to lead the hour thanks to the lead-in support from “AGT.” But a 3.1/ 6 in the hour was 56 below the 7.0/12 for the 9:30 p.m. portion of “AGT.” Competing “Blood & Treasure” on CBS dipped to a series low 2.3/ 4.

Elsewhere, drama “The 100” on The CW scored a typical 0.5/ 1 in households at 9 p.m. and the remainder of the evening were repeat telecasts as follows:
