It was all about NBC, as usual, with summer magnet “America’s Got Talent” well above the competition at a 7.9 rating/14 share in the household overnights from 8-10 p.m. ET. Comparably, this was 11 percent above the 7.1/12 on the year-ago evening, which is unprecedented for a series in season 12.

Benefiting from the “America’s Got Talent” juggernaut was already renewed NBC competition “World of Dance” at a dominant 4.6/ 8 in the 10 p.m. hour.

Elsewhere, ABC, CBS, Fox and The CW were in all repeats last night, including a 9 p.m. encore of the pilot episode of “Hooten & the Lady” on The CW. As always, repeat is a word synonymous with the summer!
