-Ratings Breakdown:
With CBS in repeats it was NBC’s turn to dominate the Tuesday household overnights. “The Voice” led the evening, with a 6.4 rating/11 share in the 8 p.m. ET hour. And that led into Tuesday night holiday editions of “Will & Grace” (#1: 5.0/ 8), which proves that a revival can indeed be successful, and “Superstore” (#2: 3.0/ 5), which is so worthy of a larger audience. For my take on why the return of “Will & Grace” is successful, click here.

At 10 p.m. on NBC was drama “Chicago Med” at a first-place 4.5/ 8, which bested a repeat of “Bull” on CBS (#2: 3.2/ 6) and an original installment of freshman “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World” on ABC (#3: 1.8/ 3) by 41 percent and 150 percent, respectively. As always, the “Chicago” franchise on the Peacock net remains a reliable component in primetime.

Earlier in the evening on CBS were encore telecasts of “NCIS” (#2: 5.3/ 9 at 8 p.m.) and a Tuesday 9 p.m. edition of “SEAL Team” (#2: 3.9/ 6). ABC, meanwhile, had nothing unusual to report with its 8-10 p.m. sitcom block – “The Middle” (#3: 3.9/ 7), “Fresh off the Boat” (#4: 2.5/ 4), “black-ish” (#3: 2.9/ 5) and “The Mayor” (#3: 2.0/ 3). The network, needless to say, will miss reliable “The Middle” next season.

Elsewhere, Fox featured “Lethal Weapon” (#4: 3.2/ 5 at 8 p.m.) and sitcoms “The Mick” (#4: 1.8/ 3 at 9 p.m.) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (#4: 1.5/ 2 at 9:30 p.m.). The CW featured “Arrow” (#5: 1.8/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and “”D.C.’s Legends of Tomorrow” (#5: 1.3/ 2 at 9 p.m.). And both networks were at typical Tuesday household overnight levels.
