'Ellen's Game of Games' Solid on NBC

Ratings Breakdown:
Annual CBS special, “Super Bowl Greatest Commercials” topped the night with a 5.2 rating/9 share at 8 p.m. in the household overnights. Comparably, that bested competing “Ellen’s Game of Games” on NBC (#2: 4.2/ 7) by 24 percent and it led the Eye net to Wednesday overnight victory.

A second original installment of “Ellen’s Game of Games” was steady at a 4.2/ 7 (#2) at 9 p.m., which will easily top the hour in adults 18-49.

Over at The CW, it was Tuesday overnight business as usual care of the pairing of “The Flash” (#5: 1.5/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and recent entry “Roswell, New Mexico” (#5: 1.0/ 2 at 9 p.m.). The remainder of the evening was all repeats.

  1. With all the content available to consumers, how is it that a show of tv commercials is the highest rated program for the evening? So sad.

    • Because it’s ad’s that were broadcast on The Super Bowl for many years it was Mean Joe Greene ad that always won. Plus showing clips of this years ad’s running during The Super Bowl since it’s the Super Bowl for the ad companies running the ad’s during the big game. I fine the show very entertaining and funny seeing ad’s you haven’t seen in years.
