TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2018

Household Rating/Share

Ratings Breakdown:
This summer’s top-rated series, “America’s Got Talent,” led NBC to another solid Tuesday victory with a 7.4 rating/13 share in the household overnights. Comparably, that was just six percent below the 7.9/14 on the year-ago evening and it led into a dominant 3.7/ 7 for “World of Dance” in the 10 p.m. hour. “World of Dance” moves into the Wednesday 8-10 p.m. ET block effective this evening.

As always, nothing this summer on any outlet can compare to the ratings for “America’s Got Talent.”

In season (or, more likely, series finale) news, ABC legal drama “The Last Defense” concluded with a mere 1.2/ 2 in the household overnights at 10 p.m., which finished a distant third in the hour.

Also original last night was Fox’s pairing of game shows “Beat Shazam!” (#4: 1.7/ 3 at 8 p.m.) and “Love Connection” (#3: 1.5/ 3 at 9 p.m.), which cannot compete. And The CW featured dramas “The 100” (#5: 0.6/ 1) and recently introduced “The Outpost” (#5: 0.5/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
